Gejomack (jee-jo•mack) is a collaboration between artists Genevieve and
Joseph McCarthy. We are constantly working to create interesting pieces of art. Commissions for paintings or murals are welcomed and encouraged.
Joseph McCarthy - Born September 28, 1972 Bronx, NY of Irish/Italian descent. Raised in Huntington, NY and graduated from Walt Whitman High School in June of 1990. Studied at St. John's University and Rutgers University before getting serious about art. Enrolled into the School of Visual Arts in the spring of 1997
and received a BFA from SVA in June 2001. Met Genevieve in June 1999, while living in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Married in April of 2004. We lived on Graham Avenue in Brooklyn for many years before moving to Bergenfield, NJ, where we raise our two children Olivia and Jeremy.
Genevieve McCarthy - Born in New Jersey in 1973. Received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a major in Illustration, from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1996. Lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York for 15 years before returning to New Jersey. While living in New York, participated in many group shows along with Joseph. Currently works as a Production and Creative Manager and continues painting, while raising her two children.
